Huang Yaqiong Wins Gold and Receives Proposal from Liu Yuchen

China’s Huang Yaqiong had an unforgettable day on August 2, 2024, winning the mixed doubles gold at the Paris Olympics and accepting a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Liu Yuchen.

Huang and her partner Zheng Siwei defeated South Korea’s Kim Won-ho and Jung Na-eun 21-8, 21-11 in a dominant final. After the match, Liu Yuchen proposed to Huang on the court at the La Chapelle Arena, holding flowers and a ring.
