PETALING JAYA: Police rescued a 15-year-old girl kidnapped in Shah Alam and arrested seven suspects, including two women.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong said the girl’s father reported the incident on November 18 after receiving a troubling voicemail from her phone. She left home at 4pm but did not return by 6:30pm, prompting her father to call her.
Confusing Messages Add to the Mystery
The father received a message claiming she had argued with a man and needed to be picked up in Subang, ACP Cha said. When he arrived at the location, his daughter was not there. Later, a WhatsApp message informed him she had been released in another part of Kuala Lumpur.
Police Rescue Teen, Capture Suspects
Officers tracked the kidnappers to an apartment in i-City, Shah Alam. They found the girl unharmed and arrested five suspects, including three males and two females, aged 15 to 19. A second raid near Mid Valley Megamall led to the arrests of two more suspects, aged 16 and 18. None of them had prior criminal records. All seven are now in custody for further investigation.
