Taiping’s Shocking Python Incident

TAIPING: A 5-meter python caused a stir when it fell from the ceiling of a house in Taiping, but was swiftly captured by the Civil Defence Force (APM).

Civil Defence Team Steps In

According to a post by the Taiping local council on Facebook, a seven-person team was dispatched to the house on Jalan Ayer Puteh, Kg Dew, Kamunting, at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 25.

A Shocking Visual of the Snake

A video posted on Facebook shows the snake hanging from a ceiling hole, slithering over a sofa. The post has since gone viral, shared more than 2,300 times and accumulating over 500 comments, with many people sharing their own snake-related experiences.

APM Taiping also commented on the situation.
“I’ve had pythons enter my house three times already,” shared Noreen Faizah.
“We’ve managed to catch four snakes with the help of neighbors and the Civil Defence and released them in the Pasir Panjang forest reserve in Port Dickson,” said Kay Layla JN.
“It made me think of the movie Anaconda,” said Wanie Gaban.
