Jackie Chan, the beloved action star known for his breathtaking stunts, recently gave his fans a scare after fainting during the filming of a stunt sequence in his latest movie, Panda Plan. Despite being 70, Chan continues to perform his own stunts, a practice that has defined his decades-long career.

The incident happened during the filming of a scene where Chan’s character is locked in a headlock as part of a fight to protect animals from mercenaries. Without warning, Chan lost consciousness and collapsed on the set, leaving everyone in shock.

In footage from the set, Chan’s co-star quickly released him from the hold while members of the crew rushed to his side. After sitting up, a visibly confused Chan asked, “What’s going on?” He later realized that holding his breath during the stunt may have caused him to pass out.

Despite the scare, Chan refused to halt production for long. After a brief break, he insisted that he was fine and eager to continue filming, once again demonstrating his commitment to performing his own stunts.

Throughout his career, Chan has consistently refused to rely on stunt doubles. “I’ve always done my own stunts because it’s what makes the action scenes feel authentic,” he said. “I don’t want to cheat the audience by using a double.”

Though he has suffered many injuries throughout his career, Chan remains undeterred, stating that he plans to continue performing stunts as long as his body allows it. Last year, during a press event in China, he told reporters, “As long as I can move, I’ll keep doing stunts. It’s what I love.”
