Taking Conversations to the Next Level
Following its integration into mobile and desktop apps, ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode has officially arrived on the web version of the platform. This breakthrough feature lets users have natural, lifelike conversations directly on the ChatGPT website.
First Access for Premium Subscribers
Kevin Weil, OpenAI’s chief product officer, confirmed that this week marks the beginning of its rollout for premium users—Plus, Enterprise, Teams, and Edu plans—on desktop browsers. Free users are anticipated to gain access in the coming weeks, complementing the existing availability on Android, iOS, and desktop applications.
Adapting to Human Emotions
The voice assistant offers a more interactive experience, adapting to user emotions and serving various roles, such as translator or tutor.
Tailored Voice and Language Options
Users can pick from multiple voices and language settings, including accents, for a highly personalized experience. Though the interaction feels natural, it performs best in quiet environments with clear speech. Additionally, a text transcript of the interaction can be retrieved post-conversation.
