KUALA LUMPUR: The flood disaster in Malaysia has worsened, with over 106,000 evacuees recorded in eight states by Friday night (Nov 29). Kelantan tops the list, reporting 72,360 evacuees in 261 PPS.

Impacts in Kelantan Districts

Pasir Mas is the most affected district in Kelantan, housing nearly 24,000 evacuees. Rising river levels, especially in Sungai Lanas and Sungai Kelantan, are alarming.

Terengganu Sees a Significant Rise

In Terengganu, evacuee numbers climbed to 24,754, with Besut contributing almost half. Authorities issued warnings for rising water levels across river basins, putting low-lying areas at risk.

Challenges in Other States

States like Kedah, Johor, and Selangor are also dealing with increased displacements. Tragically, three deaths have been reported, with two in Kelantan and one in Terengganu.
