Elderly Woman’s Cause of Death Confirmed

KUALA LUMPUR: The elderly woman found deceased in a freezer in Taman OUG was killed by chest injuries caused by blunt trauma, police revealed.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa released a statement on Thursday (Nov 21) explaining that preliminary post-mortem results identified blunt trauma to the chest as the cause of death.

Statements Recorded for the Investigation

Investigators have so far taken nine statements to support the ongoing probe, though the complete post-mortem report is still pending. “The exact timeline of the murder remains unclear,” Comm Rusdi said.

Suspect in Custody Following Discharge

The suspect, hospitalized earlier, has been discharged as of Nov 20. He is currently detained at the Brickfields police station, with custody extended until Nov 26.

Allegations of a Hidden Crime Resurface

Reports indicate that the suspect allegedly killed his mother three years ago and concealed her body in a freezer. He later contacted the police about the situation.
