Funding for Muar Syed Saddiq Finalizing Soon
PETALING JAYA: Government funding for Muar is expected to be received soon after five negotiation rounds with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, according to MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
Compliance with Agreement Requirements
He stressed that he has no hesitation in signing a confidence and supply agreement (CSA) or a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and will meet all necessary conditions, including declaring his assets, as long as it benefits the people of Muar.
“If asset declaration is a requirement, I will comply. I was one of the first ministers to declare assets even before the elections, and I have no issue doing it yearly.

Optimism for Quick Implementation of Aid
“This is for the welfare of Muar residents, and I hope there will be positive developments soon, allowing welfare aid and development plans to be implemented without delay.
“If the agreement succeeds, everything will proceed smoothly. I appreciate this opportunity and thank Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Fadillah for their support,” he remarked on Monday (March 10).
Syed Saddiq Agreement Finalization in Progress
Fadillah, who chairs the Government Consultation Council, confirmed that Syed Saddiq had agreed in principle to the government’s conditions. He added that final discussions are ongoing, while responses from other opposition MPs are still awaited.
Earlier, Syed Saddiq mentioned that he had to comply with the government’s requirements as part of his efforts to secure funding for his constituency.
