
Shocking Robbery in Ipoh
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 — A jeweller was robbed of 3kg of gold today in a daylight attack outside his gold processing store in Ipoh, Perak. The robbery occurred at around 9:30am along Jalan Bendahara, just as the jeweller was about to enter his vehicle. It is believed that he was on his way to deliver jewellery when he was ambushed by six masked robbers.
Thieves Armed and Dangerous
The jeweller was surrounded by six robbers who were armed with knives and machetes. The robbers wore masks, making it difficult for the victim to identify them. The jeweller was quoted saying that the whole event happened so quickly that he could not do anything to protect himself. He was caught off guard by the suddenness of the attack.
Collision During the Robbery
One of the robbers’ vehicles struck the jeweller’s car during the robbery. Despite the collision, the jeweller was able to avoid further damage to his car, but he sustained a minor injury to his leg. He was able to remain calm despite the intense situation, avoiding more serious injury in the process.
Two Vehicles Used to Box In the Victim
According to the jeweller, the robbers used two vehicles to box in his car, preventing him from fleeing. The robbers then proceeded to steal the 3kg of gold he was carrying. With their escape plan in place, the robbers quickly fled the scene, leaving the jeweller in a state of shock.
Authorities Investigating the Crime
Ipoh’s district police chief, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, confirmed that the robbery is being investigated. Police are reviewing security footage and collecting witness statements to help identify the suspects. Efforts are ongoing to catch the criminals responsible for the theft.
